The West Virginia Wesleyan men and women's swimming teams travel to Philippi this Saturday (Nov. 13) to face host Alderson Broaddus and Franciscan at 1 p.m.
Last Time in the Pool
Last time out, there were strong performances all round for the Bobcats as they travelled to Salem for a tri-meet along with West Virginia Tech (Friday Oct 29), but eventually lost by a score line of 61-171.
Quick Hits
- Senior Morgan Choffin earned MEC Swimmer of the Week honors on Nov. 1.
- Junior Lillie Archer won the 1000-free with a time of 12:26.18.
- Choffin came in with a time of 2:04.53 in the 200-free to finish in first place, whilst Abdelsalam finished third.
- Alienor Dalle won the 100-fly with a time of 1:03.35, with Gigi Fusco finishing in fourth at 1:15.75. Dalle also finished second in the 100-free.
- Sophomore Jennifer Williams came second in the 100-breast whilst Morgan Bennet posted a time of 30.03 in the 50-fly to earn first place.
- The women's 400-free relay team consisting of Choffin, Hannah Cook, Bennet, and Dalle won the final race of the meet with a time of 3:55.23.
- On the men's side, junior Santiago de Stefano Cavazos finished third in the 100-fly, registering a time of 58.01.
- In the 200-medley relay, the team of Nicholas Gerosa, Ben Esposito, Jakob Bohland, and Marc Bennett finished in 1:49.19.
- Junior Jackson Igo battled hard in the 50-free, as did Stephen Groves in the men's 100 breast.
