The Basics
The West Virginia Wesleyan volleyball team will host a doubleheader against Glenville State on Tuesday (Feb. 23) at 5 p.m. The doubleheader is being played because of a postponement on Feb. 5. Following the twin bill at home, the Bobcats will square off against West Virginia State inside the Rockefeller Center at 7 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 26) for Senior Night.Â

- After two consecutive losses, the Bobcats bounced back and handed the Senators of Davis & Elkins their first loss of the season in five sets (25-22, 21-25, 25-19, 26-28, 15-9). The 'Cats hold a 3-2 record entering this week.
- Wesleyan dropped a match on the road against Charleston on February 16 in three sets (25-16, 25-17, 25-20).Â
- Freshman outside hitter Lexis Tatum has racked up 67 kills in 21 sets played, averaging 3.19 kills/set. Tatum is eighth in the Mountain East Conference in kills/set. Tatum has scored the fifth most points by any player in the MEC with 73.
- Sophomore Payton Hefner ranks sixth in the MEC in assists per set. Hefner has accumulated 172 assists this season.
- Freshman defensive specialist Autumn Molenhouse secured 74 digs in matches this season. Molenhouse is averaging 4.63 digs per set, good for seventh in the MEC.
- Senior outside hitter Emily Doyle ranks sixth in hitting percentage in MEC play. Doyle has swung at a .389 percentage clip this season. Doyle has smashed four service aces and has picked up 32 digs in the first three matches.
- Sophomore outside hitter Joelle Lalla and senior middle blocker Lauryn Antolock each have 9.0 blocks. They both lead the team in blocks.
- Doyle and Hefner lead the Bobcats with six service aces a piece.

Scouting Glenville State
The Pioneers have played one match this season, which was a three set loss at West Virginia State on Feb. 2.

Junior middle hitter Skylar Mace returns for Glenville State. Mace led GSC in kills for her 2019 sophomore campaign with 338. Mace accumulated nine of the Pioneers' 20 kills in the match against WVSU.

Madison Gargus returns to her alma mater to lead Glenville State. Gargus was a four-year starter for the Pioneers from 2015-2018.

Scouting West Virginia State

The Yellow Jackets enter the fourth week of competition on top of the MEC South Division. Wesleyan fell to West Virginia State in five sets on Feb. 12.

Outside hitter Jenna Dufresne ranks second in the MEC with 4.78 kills/set. The junior from Bedford, Ind. has totaled the most kills by any player in the conference.

Jordan West, a sophomore from Coshocton, Ohio, received MEC Defensive Player of the Week Honors earlier in the season. West has picked up 72 digs in 17 sets played.
