The Basics
The West Virginia Wesleyan women's basketball team returns home to close out the regular season by hosting Concord on Wednesday (Feb. 24) at 5 p.m. and Davis & Elkins on Saturday (Feb. 27) for Senior Day.Â

The top five teams in each Mountain East Conference division will qualify for the MEC Tournament with first-round games being played on campus sites. As of Feb. 24, WVWC sits in fifth place in the MEC South Division, one game ahead of Davis & Elkins.Â

Eight women's teams and eight men's teams will then advance to Wheeling for quarterfinal play, beginning with four women's games on Thursday, March 4, followed by the men's quarterfinals on Friday, March 5.Â

Symphonie Bryant-Brown provided 16 points off of the bench to help propel WVWC past Wheeling on Wednesday (Feb. 3).Â
• Stawovy recorded her second double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds at Notre Dame (Ohio) in a 76-66 loss on Monday, Feb. 1.Â
• Stawovy scored a season-high 27 points and finished 10-for-10 at the free throw line in an 86-73 victory over Alderson Broaddus on Saturday (Jan. 30).Â
• Gabauer bested her previous career-high of 24 points that was set her freshman year with 26 points against West Virginia State on Wednesday (Jan. 20).Â

Cierra Tolbert's father, Ray was the Big Ten Player of the Year at Indiana in 1981, was selected 18
th overall in the NBA draft and played five seasons in the NBA.Â

Vicky Bullett enters her fifth season as the West Virginia Wesleyan head coach. The former All-American at Maryland and former WNBA No. 1 draft pick played six seasons in the WNBA. Bullett is a member of the Maryland Athletic Hall of Fame and Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. She helped Team USA to a gold medal in 1988.Â

Scouting Concord
Concord is 8-5 overall this season with three consecutive wins including a 59-54 victory over No. 3 Charleston on Saturday (Feb. 20).Â

Riley Fitzwater is coming off an MEC co-player of the week honor and averages 19.9 points per game as well as 13.2 rebounds per game. Fitzwater has also swatted away 61 shots. Maggie Guynn is averaging 13.2 points per game and is the team leader in total assists (34).Â

Kenny Osborne is in his 20th season as the head coach of the Mountain Lions. Osborne is the winningest coach in Concord women's basketball history.Â

Scouting Davis & Elkins
Davis & Elkins carries a 2-11 overall record into the final week of the regular season and enters the week in sixth place of the MEC South Division.Â

Jamiyah Johnson is averaging a double-double through nine games with 17.4 points per game and 14.2 rebounds per game. Jennifer Eadsforth-Yates averages 9.3 points per contest and leads the Senators in total assists (35).Â
Rachel Swartz is in her first season as the head coach at Davis & Elkins.
