BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- The game was tied late in the second half until Concord (8-6) pulled away from the West Virginia Wesleyan (0-14) men's basketball team, 77-66 inside the Rockefeller Center on Wednesday (Feb. 24).Â

"We took care of the ball well and were strong with it," head coach
Nick Patella said. "Having 14 assists and committing nine turnovers is good enough to win any game. We needed to put together two complete halves."

Young logged another double-double with his 22-point and 12-rebound performance.
Marvel McGowan finished with 12 points in a starting role.Â

Malik Johnson pieced together a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. Ethan Heller also scored 17 points for the Mountain Lions.Â

Wesleyan only committed one turnover in the first half. Concord finished 23-for-30 at the free throw line while the Bobcats were 4-for-11 from the charity stripe.Â

Jaret Mullooly sank a corner trey to put Wesleyan ahead 12-9 at the 13:54 mark of the opening half.
Jayden Hibbitt got the shooter's roll on a mid-range jumper with 7:17 remaining in the first half as the Bobcats led 22-17. Less than a minute later, the margin widened to 27-17 after
Shawn Moran connected on a triple.Â

Both squads exchanged baskets throughout the second half.
Tommie Pope drained a 3-pointer from straightaway to put the Bobcats ahead 53-49 with 10:45 remaining. A couple of minutes later, the Mountain Lions took a slim edge and McGowan knocked down a trifecta to bring Wesleyan within two points (59-57).Â

A thunderous dunk by
Ross Young with 5:02 left in the second half tied the contest at 61 apiece. Concord responded with an 11-0 run that wasn't answered until 1:24 remaining in regulation.Â
