The West Virginia Wesleyan volleyball team continues the season against Concord at home on Tuesday (Feb. 9) at 7 p.m. prior to traveling to West Virginia State on Friday (Feb. 12) to take on the Yellow Jackets.

- The Bobcats defeated Charleston in five sets (25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 13-25, 15-10) last Tuesday, Feb. 2. Wesleyan's match originally scheduled for Friday (Feb. 5) at Glenville State was postponed to a later date.
- Freshman outside hitter Lexis Tatum accumulated 13 kills in her first collegiate match.
- Sophomore setter Payton Hefner had 41 assists in the victory against UC.
- Sophomore outside hitter Joelle Lalla recorded four total blocks in the first match.

Scouting Concord
Concord will travel to Buckhannon with an 0-2 record. The Mountain Lions lost to Davis & Elkins and West Virginia State last week.

Sophomore middle hitter Amber Hall leads Concord in kills (18). The Mountain Lions have two setters with double-digit assist totals: junior Imani Rodgers (36) and freshman Kristin Lough (25).

The Bobcats took Concord to five sets in their last meeting on November 1, 2019. Wesleyan came up short and dropped the match against Concord.

Kate Dillon enters her 12
th season as the head coach of Concord. The Mountain Lions were picked to finish fourth in the MEC South Division preseason poll.

Scouting West Virginia State
The Yellow Jackets were victorious in both of their matches last week, defeating Glenville State and Concord. WVSU was picked to win the MEC South Division in the preseason poll.

Junior outside hitter Jenna Dufresne leads WVSU in kills (31). Dufresne was selected to the MEC All-Tournament Team in 2019. Freshman setter Kiersten Eggleton leads WVSU with 50 total assists.

The Bobcats dropped their last meeting against the Yellow Jackets. WVWC lost in four sets on the road in Institute, W.Va. on November 15, 2019.

West Virginia State volleyball is led by Kris Kern, who is in his fourth year as head coach. Kern holds a 62-41 overall record at WVSU.
