The Hilltoppers (3-1) made quick work of the Bobcats (0-2) in doubles play to take a 1-0 lead heading into singles action. This was the second match in two days for WVWC, who fell 5-2 to Salem yesterday.

Rebecca Osborne fell 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles in a competitive match, the junior's debut at the top singles line for the Bobcats.

Julia Pinto rallied from a 6-0 first set loss to force a tightly contested second set, winning four games in a row to take a 5-4 lead, but ultimately dropping her No. 3 singles match 6-0, 7-5 to Ishika Agarwal.

Madison Chen (No. 4 singles) and
Jackie Zavala (No. 6 singles) competed well in the second sets of their singles matches, falling 6-1, 6-3 and 6-0, 6-2, respectively.

The Bobcats will take a brief hiatus before returning to play in their Mountain East Conference opener against Frostburg State on Sunday, March 28. First serve is set for 12:00 PM in Buckhannon.
