The Basics
The West Virginia Wesleyan volleyball team will travel east on U.S. Route 33 to Elkins, W.Va. for a Mountain East Conference Tournament quarterfinal matchup against Davis & Elkins on Tuesday (March 9) at 7 p.m.Â

The winner of the match will advance to the semifinal round to take on the winner of West Virginia State and Charleston. The match will be on March 12. Match site and time is to be determined.

- Freshman outside hitter Lexis Tatum averaged 3.26 kills/set in MEC regular season play. Tatum holds the ninth most kills/set total in the MEC. The Gahanna, Ohio native scored 135.5 points in 10 matches which ranks tenth in the MEC.
- Payton Hefner has averaged the second-highest service ace rate in the conference. Hefner averaged 0.45 service aces/set. Hefner ranks sixth in assists per set with 7.92 assists/set.
- Chicago, Ill. freshman Autumn Molenhouse has made an immediate impact defensively for WVWC. Molenhouse averages 4.64 digs/set which is good for seventh in the MEC.
- Senior middle blocker Lauryn Antolock smashed a career-high 18 kills in a 3-1 victory over Concord on March 2.
- Emily Doyle has racked up 100 kills in her senior campaign. The outside hitter from Valrico, Fla. has totaled 683 kills in her four-year career at Wesleyan.
- Antolock and sophomore Joelle Lalla have each recorded 20.0 blocks. The WVWC blocking leaders each have five block solos and fifteen block assists.
- Nancy Wheeler is in her fourth season as head coach of Wesleyan volleyball. Wheeler has guided the Bobcats to two MEC Tournament appearances.

Scouting Davis & Elkins
The Bobcats split the regular season series with the Senators. Wesleyan protected home-court and defeated Davis & Elkins on Feb. 19 in five sets. D&E swept WVWC on March 5 in Elkins.

Macie Magallon has smashed 165 kills in ten matches for D&E. Magallon also leads the Senators with 184.0 points. Brilane Manchego holds the most assists (357) and service aces (13) for D&E.

Jordan Willis is in his first season coaching the Senators. Willis previously served as head coach of Otero Junior College in Colorado.
