WVWC Continues Winning Ways Against Frostburg State

WVWC defeated Frostburg State 7-0 on Tuesday (April 20).

Box Score BUCKHANNON, W.Va.-- WVWC women's tennis (2-4) won their second consecutive match against Frostburg State on Tuesday (April 20). The performance by the women was their first sweep of the season, winning 7-0.
 
In doubles play, Molly Hull and Madison Chen kept their doubles success rolling with a 6-1 victory at No. 2.
 
Sai Sakamoto and Jackie Zavala took care of their matchup and clinched the doubles point for WVWC winning their matchup at No. 3 (6-3).
 
In singles action, WVWC did not drop a single match. Pinto and Osborne started it off by winning their matches at No.1 and No. 2 by an identical score (6-2, 6-0).
 
Sai Sakamoto won her match at No. 3 in straight sets (6-1, 6-0).
 
Molly Hull did not drop a single game at No. 5, winning in convincing fashion (6-0, 6-0).
 
Defending Mountain East Conference Player of the week, Madison Chen picked up right where she left off, picking up another victory winning (6-4, 6-3).
 
In the final match of the day, Hannah Spruce rounded out the scoring for WVWC winning her match at No. 6 (6-3, 6-1).
