WARREN, Ohio -- The West Virginia Wesleyan men's golf team shot +55 overall and currently is in seventh place at the Mountain East Conference Championship at Avalon Lakes Golf Club in Warren Ohio.
 
Freshman Rigel Wilson shot a team-best 82 strokes. Wilson is tied for 17th place. Colin Chapman and Dan Morgret shot an 86 and are tied for 28th place individually. Matt Allen finished his round shooting an 89. Zach Chapman withdrew from the tournament.
 
The WVWC men's golf team will be back on the course for the second round of the MEC Championship. Tee times will be announced on mountaineast.org.
