Women's Golf Preview: Concord Invite

The Bobcat women’s golf team will prepare for the MEC Championship with a two-round event at Pipestem State Park.

The West Virginia Wesleyan women's golf team will play in the Concord Invite this week (Sept. 29-30) at Pipestem State Park in Pipestem, W.Va.

  • The Wesleyan women's golf team is coming off of a team win at the Dr. Wally Edgell Invite. The Bobcats won the event by a margin of 40 strokes.
  • Senior Carleigh Bolyard was named MEC Golfer of the Week last Wednesday (Sept. 22). Bolyard was crowned with medalist honors at the Dr. Wally Edgell Invite, shooting a 152 in 36 holes.
  • Kiana Toole placed fourth at the Dr. Wally Edgell Invite and second at the WVWC Invite. Toole has placed in the top-10 on three separate occasions this fall.
  • Freshman Remmey Lohr has finished in the top-10 in all four events this season. Lohr placed second overall at the Cal U Vulcan Invitational.
  • Senior Emma Bryan placed 11th at the Dr. Wally Edgell Invite.
