FROSTBURG, Md.-- Jayden Hibbitt recorded his first double-double on the season on Wednesday (Jan. 19) in West Virginia Wesleyan (2-15, 1-10) men's basketballs loss to Frostburg State (6-11, 4-7) inside Bobcat Arena.

Hibbitts double-double came on 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Anthony Craven Jr. tallied 16 points and six rebounds on the evening.

Torrin Stephens and Canaan Bartley both finished with 13 points. Stephens added eight rebounds to his box score.

Inside the First Half
John Ibukunoluwa got things started for the 'Cats when he took the Hibbitt pass and nailed the free-throw line jumper. Craven Jr. forced a turnover after a Hibbitt made basket and turned it into points of his own to give WVWC the 6-2 lead. WVWC stifled the home team defensively, holding them to just 2-7 from the floor, and forced seven turnovers in the first eight minutes of the half.

With 8:42 left in the opening half, Hibbitt extended the lead to 10 after he and
Tyler Slone scored on consecutive possessions. WVWC's largest lead of the half came after a
Daunte Gardner made layup extending the lead to 13. Frostburg state went on a 6-1 run over the next minute and a half before Craven Jr. hit a floater in the lane to bring the lead back to double digits. WVWC went to the locker up 12 after
Daunte Gardner slashed his way to the cup and finished a layup right before the buzzer.

Inside the Second Half
Jayden Hibbitt scored the first two baskets of the half, giving WVWC a 41-25 lead. At the 16:56 mark,
Tommie Pope drove into the lane and finished a tough layup while being fouled in the process. After Pope missed the free throw attempt, Craven Jr. put back the offensive board making the score 47-31.

The home team would make a run of their own, going on 22-6 run over the next seven minutes to tie the contest at 53. After getting in the lane and finishing the contested layup, Craven Jr would give WVWC a three-point lead with 8:50 remaining. FSU would go on another run this time, giving them a 60-57 lead with 7:01 to play. FSU would not look back with the game ending 76-67.
