CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Wesleyan volleyball team (6-18, 2-8 MEC) was defeated by Charleston (22-3, 9-1 MEC) at the Wehrle Innovation Center in Charleston, W.Va. on Tuesday (Oct. 18) night.

Najla Bray led the Bobcats with six kills.
Payton Hefner passed a team-leading 11 assists.
Autumn Molenhouse led the Bobcats with 14 digs. Bray and
Joelle Lalla each had two blocks.

Match Summary
After eight possible points in the first set the score was tied 4-4. Charleston assembled five scoring runs of three or more points that led the Golden Eagles to a set one win, 25-11. Charleston jumped out to a 10-6 lead in the second set. Wesleyan notched three runs of three or more points in the second set, but the comeback fell just short. UC took the second set, 25-23. Charleston won the first five points of the third set and led, 5-0. Wesleyan cut the deficit to three at 8-5 but never got closer. The Golden Eagles claimed the third set, 25-14.
