Swimming Preview: Franciscan

Bobcats look to extend their winning streak.

The Basics

The West Virginia Wesleyan women's swimming team prepares to host Franciscan on Saturday (Nov. 12) at 1 p.m. at Davis & Elkins due to malfunctions at the Natatorium.

Last Time in the Pool

Last time out, the Bobcats hosted Malone in which a strong overall performance from the women's side earned them a victory. Standout performances from Alayna Crane came in first place in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:05.65. Crane did not stop here as she earned another first place position in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 26.36 and first place in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:25.03. Jennifer Williams saw first place position in the 100 yard breaststroke while Alienor Dalle saw first place positions in the 200 yard fly and 100 yard freestyle. The Bobcats were victorious 165-76. 

Scouting Franciscan

The Barons from Franciscan are coming to the Bobcats following a victory versus Bethany 126-54. The Barons started off by winning the 200 yard medley relay registering a time of 2:05.78. After competing in the relay, Lucia Garvey would keep up her success with a strong win in the 100 yard backstroke alone with Kristen Farabaugh who would get her second win of the day as well in the 100 yard breaststroke.

The Bobcats will travel to Ohio on Saturday (Nov. 19) to participate in the Ohio Wesleyan Invite.
