Swimming Fall to Franciscan

The women's swimming team fell short in a hard fought meet.

ELKINS, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Wesleyan women's swim program traveled to Elkins on Saturday (Nov. 12) afternoon for a meet versus Franciscan.

 

The women took no hesitation whatsoever to start off on a high standard. Relay team consisting of Alayna Crane, Alienor Dalle, Jennifer Williams, and Annalise Gentilozzi set the tone with a first place victory in the 200 yard medley relay coming in with a time of 2:01.62. Dalle then added points on the board for her team when she won her 100 yard fly event with a time of 1:04.80. The event after, Crane was able to touch the wall at 26.59 giving her the first place position in the 50 yard free. Dalle continued her outstanding performance in the 50 yard fly when she came in first place with a time of 28.98 and Morgan Bennet right behind her at 30.77.

 

After a hard fought meet, the women's team fell versus Franciscan by a score of 119-149.
 

The WVWC swimming teams will travel to Ohio on Saturday (Nov. 19) and Sunday (Nov. 20) for the Ohio Wesleyan Invite.
