BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan (2-15, 1-14) women's basketball team dropped a conference game versus Alderson Broaddus (9-11, 7-9) on Saturday (Feb. 5) afternoon inside the Rockefeller Center.

WVWC Leaders
Symphonie Bryant-Brown scored a game-high 21 points. The Laurel, Md., native shot 7-16 from the floor and drained two triples.
Malaika Kimmons hauled in eight rebounds.
Courtney Wilfong distributed three assists and collected four steals.

Alderson Broaddus Leaders
Three Battlers were in double-figures with Iyahnna Williams leading the way with 15 points. Williams and Ariyah Douglas each recorded three assists and three steals. Nyshae' Weaver pulled in nine boards.Â

Inside the First Half
Bryant-Brown swished a three to put WVWC up 5-2 in the opening minutes. Kimmons converted a pull-up jump shot to make the score 7-4 in favor of the home team. AB amassed a 19-point scoring run that grew a 16-point lead midway through the second quarter. Wilfong hit a three to end the run and pull WVWC within 13. The 'Cats outscored the visitors 9-4 in the final five minutes of the half and trailed by 10 at the break.

Inside the Second Half
Alderson Broaddus outscored WVWC by two points in the first five minutes of the third frame. The Bobcats stormed back and generated a nine-point run that cut the deficit to six points. The Bobcats trailed by seven points at the end of the third quarter.
Ariana Harmon drove the lane and made a layup while fouled. Harmon completed the three-point play that made the score 49-43 in favor of AB. The 'Cats scored five straight points from a Harmon layup and Bryant-Brown's second three of the afternoon to put WVWC within five points with 4:09 remaining. The Battlers closed out the game on a 9-0 run and claimed a road win.
