BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan (2-2) acrobatics & tumbling team fell to Fairmont State (5-1) by a score of 263.340-251.000 at the Rockefeller Center on Thursday (March 17) night.

How It Happened
The Falcons claimed the compulsory event by a score of 37.85-33.50. The Bobcats took the 5-element and the 6-element acro heats.
Kayla Gandy,
Emily Dengel and
Tiara Stokes scored a
9.65 in the 5-element and Gandy,
Joniah Howell and Stokes recorded a 9.65 in the 6-element. Fairmont State edged WVWC 28.15-27.70 in the Acro event.

The synchronized pyramid team posted a score of 9.80 to take the second heat in the pyramid event. The open pyramid team won the third heat 9.75-9.65. The visitors held a 94.90-87.65 lead at the end of the first half.

Wesleyan responded and won the Toss event 28.70-27.45. The 'Cats won the 450 Salto (9.40-9.15) and the synchronized heat (8.95-8.45). In the tumbling event, the duo pass team of Gandy and Alejandra Ditchen won the event after scoring a 8.00. Gandy performed a beautiful aerial pass that registered a 9.20. Fairmont State won the tumbling event 52.100-48.550.

Fairmont State etched a team event score of 91.79. The Bobcats recorded a team event score of 87.55. The Fighting Falcons won the meet 265.340-251.000.
