MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan (0-15, 0-4) baseball team dropped two games to Fairmont State (9-9, 4-0) at Mylan Park on Sunday (March 20) afternoon.

Inside Game One
The Fairmont State offense exploded for 19 runs in five innings. In the sixth inning,
Devin Johnson delivered a two-RBI single to bring home
David Sanders to get the Bobcats on the board.
Geovani Sostre collected an RBI after grounding into a fielder's choice to score
Sam Ingram in the sixth. Johnson and
Jaylon Robinson each laced two hits in the first game. The Fighting Falcons took game one 19-3.

Inside Game Two
Wesleyan put a four spot in the top of the first inning.
Martin Radosevic deposited a baseball into left field for a two-RBI base hit that scored Ingram and Sostre. Johnson crossed home plate after a fielding error by Fairmont State. Radosevic tallied the fourth run of the inning after taking home on a wild pitch to give WVWC a four-run cushion.

Fairmont State would score 11 unanswered runs to jump out to an 11-4 lead. The Bobcats responded with a three-run fifth inning, capped off by a
Dylan Poplin double that brought home
Thatcher Poteat and
Leo White. The Fighting Falcons tacked on two runs in the fifth and sixth innings to go up 15-7. Wesleyan scored a pair of runs in the seventh inning highlighted by a Sostre RBI single. Fairmont State completed the sweep and won 15-9.

Sostre picked up multiple hits in the finale. Radosevic reached base four times and Johnson was on board three times.
