CHARLESTON, W.Va.-- The West Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team dropped the regular season finale against Charleston on Friday (Apr. 22). The Golden Eagles swept the Bobcats 7-0 in the match. 

UC commanded much of the match on the afternoon, Alanis Alvarez showed a strong effort in the a three-set thriller at singles no. 3. After dropping the first set, Alvarez forced a deciding third set after she claimed a 6-3 win in the second set. Alvarez dropped the final set 10-5 in a hard fought matchup.

The Bobcats wrap up the regular season on Saturday (Apr. 23) at home against Bluefield State College. The Bobcats will recognize former coach Jim Smith with a court dedication beforehand.
