FROSTBURG, Md.-- WVWC women's tennis claimed a 5-0 sweep over the Frostburg State Bobcats on Saturday (Apr. 9) in a rain shortened contest. The Orange and Black put in a strong performance to claim a tough road win in Mountain East play.
Julia Pinto got the scoring started with a straight sets victory at no. 2. Pinto dropped one game in the entire match winning 6-1, 6-0.
Cayley Symons had an impressive showing at no. 3 winning her matchup 6-1, 6-1.
Rebecca Osborne claimed a 6-1, 6-3 victory at no. 4 to give the Bobcats a 3-0 advantage.
Madison Chen and
Molly Hull would round out the scoring at no. 5 and 6. winning 6-0,6-3, and 6-2, 6-0, respectively.
