CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan men's golf team started its season at the University of Charleston Invitational that concluded on Tuesday (Sept. 13) at Edgewood Country Club. The Bobcats brought home a 10
th place finish and shot a total of 604 strokes.

Freshman
Francisco Taboada was stellar in his first collegiate tournament. Taboada shot an even par round of 71 on Monday and finished the two-day event with a total of 146 strokes. The freshman sank 25 pars, two birdies and an eagle at the event.

Davis Haynes totaled 150 strokes and
Alexis Abalos signed his scorecard with a 151. Freshman
Cole Price fired a 157 in his first event with the Bobcats.
Rigel Wilson rounded out the scoring for WVWC with 165.

Indiana (Pa.) and Mountain East Conference foe Glenville State tied for first place with 571 strokes. Notre Dame (Ohio) finished in third place at 585.

The Bobcats will return to the links on Sunday (Sept. 18) for the Michael Corbett Fall Classic in Erie, Pa.
