GLENVILLE, W.Va. – West Virginia Wesleyan's Men's Basketball team lost to Glenville State on Saturday evening 100-53. The Pioneers finished with 25 assists and outrebounded the Bobcats 47-27 in the route.

The first bucket of the game wouldn't come until the 17:44 mark with a Jamal Jacobs layup. Glenville answered with seven straight to gain an early lead on the Bobcats. The two teams exchanged baskets with the Pioneers taking a 18-13 advantage at the under-10 media timeout.

Jacquez Yow started off hot for the Pioneers, scoring all 11 of his 1^st Half points in the first 12 minutes. Darius Green continued to score inside for the Bobcats, converting on back-to-back layups to try to heal WVWC's shooting woes. The Pioneers built a 48-25 lead at the intermission, shooting 61% from the field and 50% from three in the half.

Glenville State brought their hot shooting from the 1^st Half into the 2^nd Half, extending their lead to 30 at the first media timeout of the half. The Pioneers got everyone in on shooting run, digging deep into their bench to produce more scoring.

WVWC's cold shooting continued throughout the remainder of the game, allowing Glenville to get out and run to find wide-open looks. Wesleyan finished the game shooting 35% from the field. GSU shot an impressive 56% from the field and 47% from behind the arc.

Darius Green once again led the Bobcats in scoring, finishing with 17 while also grabbing seven rebounds. Jordan Cannon had 12 points in the loss. Glenville State featured seven double-digit scorers, led by De' Ante Petree's 15 points on 5-8 shooting from three. Harrison Eghan finished with 14 points and grabbed eight boards for the Pioneers.

Wesleyan returns home on Wednesday night to face Frostburg State at 7:30 p.m. in the Rockefeller Center.
