BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Charleston's Beatrice Dietz has been named the Mountain East Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, while West Virginia Wesleyan's Mateo Zolezzi has been named the Men's Golfer of the Week.
 
The MEC Golfer of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.
 
Dietz, a senior from Palm Coast, Florida, finished sixth at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic in Erie over the weekend. In the 36-hole tournament, Dietz shot an 84 in the opening round, before dropping her score of 73 (+1) in the second round.
 
Zolezzi, a first-year player for West Virginia Wesleyan, finished eighth at this weekend's Bud Elwell Fall Classic in Erie. During the two-round, 36-hole event, Zolezzi shot +5 (77) in the first round, before shooting even-par (72) during Monday's second round. He finished +5 for the tournament.
