Both the Men's and Women's Golf Team participated in the Mountain East Conference Golf Tournament, which spanned from Monday, October 2nd, to Wednesday, October 4th. The men's team finished 3rd overall with a team score of 917 behind Davis and Elkins College and the University of Charleston. The men's team performance was highlighted by
Francisco Taboada, who placed first overall through the three rounds. Taboada shot 72, 69, and 72 between the three rounds putting him at -3 for the whole tournament. He was selected to the All-Tournament Team and was a medalist recipient. Other notable performers were
Alexis Abalos, shooting 76, 78, and 78 between the three rounds. Abalos finished tied for 11th in the tournament. Freshman
Mateo Zolezzi tied for 14th shooting 79, 73, and 81.
The Golf team will travel to Ernie, Pa. this upcoming Sunday, October 8th for a match hosted by Gannon University. The match will be held at Whispering Woods Golf Club.
