Buckhannon, W.Va.- The West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats played Concord University at home on Halloween. It was senior night in the Rockefeller Center as 3 seniors were honored Hope Acre-Reed,
Makenzie Yates, and
Autumn Molenhouse. After coming off a win against Salem University, the bobcats were looking to keep the momentum rolling. The bobcats would lose the match 3-1 winning the first set 25-15, losing the second set 21-25, and losing sets 3 and 4, 22-25 and 18-25.
Some notable performances from the match offensively was
Olivia Albrecht with 16 kills,
Hope Arce-Reed with 14 kills, and
Emily Denison with 12 kills. Setter,
Makenzie Yates totaled an impressive 51 assists and was a proven key contributor for the bobcats. On the back line, Libero
Alexis Moeschler collected 21 digs and played her part in counteracting Concord's offensive attack. For Concord, Chloe Thompson collected 15 kills and was assisted by setters Paige Richmond and Declyn Tooze who totaled 39 assists.
The Bobcats are set to take on Glenville State University Friday, November 3 in the Waco Center.
