Elkins, W.Va.- The West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats played Davis and Elkins College for the last contest of the regular season. Both teams were coming into the contest with 1 conference win each. The Bobcats pushed their way through 5 sets to win big on the road against their rivals. The Bobcats would win the first two sets 25-19 and 25-20. They would drop sets three and four 23-25 and 21-25 before winning set 5, 15-10.
Some notable performances from the match offensively with
Hope Arce-Reed with 18 kills, and
Emily Denison with 14 kills. Setter,
Makenzie Yates totaled an impressive 45 assists and was a proven key contributor for the bobcats. On the back line, Libero
Alexis Moeschler collected 19 digs as well as
Emily Denison with 10 digs. There was a total of 14 block assists through out the match lead by freshman
Bhrooke Axe and
Makenzie Yates with 3 a piece.
