Fairmont State University blew open a close game in the second half against the West Virginia Wesleyan men's basketball team and defeated the Bobcats 101-79, Saturday, at the Joe Retton Arena in Mountain East Conference basketball action.

Leading by six at the half, the Falcons went on a torrid 3-point shooting streak to put the game away. The Falcons were 17-for-36 from beyond the arc in the game; 11 of them came in the second half.

The Bobcats were also hot from 3-point land, shooting 40% for the night. Leading Wesleyan's effort was Alex Mirhouseini with 25 points.
Deiker Padrino added in 21 points to continue his hot shooting for the season and Raph Houssou added 7 points. Max Harris had another double-double as he scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds.

The Cats will try to get back on the winning track Tuesday, Nov. 21, when they host Frostburg State University in the Rockefeller Center. Game time is 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.
