Rebounding dominance by the West Virginia Wesleyan College women's basketball team wasn't enough to stop host Fairmont State University and the Falcons beat the Bobcats 79-62, Saturday in Fairmont.
Â
Wesleyan controlled the boards, posting a 54-33 rebound advantage with
Desiree Roy pulling down 16 rebounds as a part of a double-double performance. Her 19 points led all Bobcats.
Shelby Genes added 15 points in her best performance of the young season.
Â
But a great Wesleyan defense was throttled by the Bobcats' 30 turnovers which directly led to 46 Falcons points.
Â
The Bobcats will host Frostburg State University Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 5:30 p.m. in Rockefeller Center. Admission is free.
