Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Wesleyan Drought Continues at Notre Dame College with 75-69 Loss

A completely dominant first half fell by the wayside for the Bobcats men's basketball team and West Virginia Wesleyan College still could not find the win, falling to Notre Dame College (Ohio) 75-69 in South Euclid, Saturday.

The Bobcats shot 78 percent from three-point range and held a 20-of-43 field goal advantage over the Falcons' 14-of-26 first half effort to take a 48-36 lead into the half.

But it was a different story in the second half. The Bobcats found a goal on only five of 28 attempts and three-point shooting accuracy fell to 27 percent. The Falcons took a one-point lead with 6:48 remaining in the contest then never trailed to post its third win of the season.

The Bobcats were led by team scoring leader Deiker Padrino who had 17 points and four rebounds. Curtis Litton added 14 points and five rebounds and outside shooting specialist Alex Mirhosseini dropped in 13 points with a 4-of-9 three-point effort. Defensively, Joshua Johnson had a double-digit rebound performance, snatching 10 boards to go along with his seven points.

The Bobcats take a week off before traveling to Canton, Ohio to take on the Malone University Pioneers Monday, Dec. 18. Tipoff is slated for 5 p.m.
