Men’s And Women’s Tennis Completes Spring Break Road Trip

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The West Virginia Wesleyan Men's and Women's Tennis teams completed their spring break road trip to the Carolinas at Mt. Olive on Thursday and Chowan on Saturday. The Bobcats were scheduled to play on Friday but those matches were canceled.

How The Women Finished
The women's team dropped both matches by a score of 7-0. Omolade Aderemi and Cayley Symons were close to picking up victories at Chowan but fell just short in singles competition. Raelyn Vance fought hard in her match at Mt. Olive as well.

How The Men Finished
The men's team fell to Mt. Olive 6-1 but beat Chowan 5-2 on Saturday. Emanuel Mallya was the lone Bobcat to pick up a win at UMO. Against Chowan, the team of Andreas Hald Dige and Anthony McIntosh won 6-3 in doubles competition.

In singles play, Kihiro Karasawa, Emanuel Mallya, Kevin Lin, Jonathan Lindstrand and Anthony McIntosh all secured victories. In total, the Bobcats won five of the six singles matches.

Up Next For The Bobcats
Wesleyan's men are set to face Salem on Thursday at home in a rescheduled match that was originally set for Monday. The women will back in action at Shippensburg on Mar. 19th.
