BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – West Virginia Wesleyan Men's Golf standout Francisco Taboada has been named Mountain East Conference Co-Freshman of the Year and All-MEC First team, the league announced. The selections were based on the individual performances during five rounds of MEC sponsored play.

Taboada shared the Freshman of the Year award with Glenville State's Juan Monckeberg as they both had an average score of 73.4 during MEC play this season. Joining Taboada on the All-MEC First team was Player of the Year Alex Easthom (West Liberty), Bo Orecchio (West Liberty), Lewis Beeden (Davis & Elkins), Jack Coleman (Davis & Elkins), Juan Monckeberg (Glenville State) and Rory Gorman (Charleston).
