Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Pioneers Hand Bobcats Another Loss 93-54

West Virginia Wesleyan still couldn't find the winning formula and remained winless in the Mountain East Conference with a 93-54 loss at Glenville State's Waco Center, Saturday.

Wesleyan's Deiker Padrino and Glenville State's Jay Scott battled for 40 minutes to claim the day's top scorer with Scott edging out Padrino 29 points to 21. The bigger difference in the game though, was the help Scott got from three other players that scored in double figures while Padrino's help was single-digit only.

Padrino, the MEC's No. 5 leading scorer (15.7 point-per-game), hit 8-of-15 from the field which included 4-of-9 from beyond the three-point stripe. He got help with 8-point efforts from Curtis Litton, who went 3-of-5 and added six rebounds, and Joshua Johnson who posted of 4-of-5 field goal performance.

Scott's help came from Devin Collins (15 points and nine rebounds), Jordan Turbo Smith (13 points and seven rebounds), and Trevor Chandler (10 points and six rebounds). Across all defenders, the Pioneers ended the night with a 54 to 35 rebound advantage.

Wesleyan faces the conference's second-leading scoring offense and second-best defense when it travels to the University of Charleston Wednesday, Jan. 17. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
