Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Bobcats Fall to Davis and Elkins 79-58

After claiming its second victory of the season on the road in its last game, the West Virginia Wesleyan College men's basketball team remained shut out at home, falling to Davis and Elkins College 79-58, Saturday.

Junior Joshua Johnson claimed top spot in scoring for Wesleyan with 14 points on a 5-of-10 field goal performance and 3-of-6 from the charity line. The Bobcats' leading scorer Deiker Padrino added 10 points, well below his MEC fifth-place average of 15.9, on a night where a lid seemed to have been placed over the Bobcats' offensive rim.

The bigger challenge for the Bobcats was the lopsided rebounding effort that had Davis and Elkins yanking down 44 boards to Wesleyan's 21.

The Senators broke often and Sam Rolle IV led the fast attack, scoring 19 points on 6-of-11 from the field and 7-of-8 from the stripe. Nicolas Silva added 12 points and eight rebounds, and Vadim Clanet scored 10 points and six rebounds.

The Bobcats host Notre Dame College (OH) on Wednesday, Jan. 31. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m.
