The Bobcat women's soccer team continued its hot streak with a 3-0 shutout of Fairmont State University, Wednesday, in Buckhannon.
Â
After starting the season 1-4, and now halfway through the 2024 campaign, Wesleyan has pulled even with a 4-4-2 record.
Â
The Bobcats got things going with a quick point by
Ava Badallo who took a pair of assists by
Kameron Bonneau and
Kierra Hoiler to goal in the 7th minute.
Â
Seven minutes later,
Maggie Queen continued her hot scoring presence with a goal assisted by
Tessa Grisez and

Â
Pergolotti tallied her second goal of the year in the 84th minute to seal the victory. The assist went to Badallo.
Â
Though the Falcons outshot the Bobcats 9-7, Wesleyan made theirs count; every shot taken was on goal.
Â
The Bobcat victory also showcased a spectacular performance by goalkeeper
Paige Miller. Her three saves that included a penalty shot denial taken by Fairmont in the 61st minute were the statistical highlights to a dominant presence inside the 18.
Â
Wesleyan goes on the road Sunday, Oct. 13 to Point Park University for a kickoff that starts at noon in Pittsburgh.
