Wesleyan women's soccer traveled to Frostburg State University Sunday where it faced a wall of defense and fell 6-0 to the rival Bobcats.

Frostburg dominated the entire 90 minutes in a match that was officiated caution-free. Five different players scored for the Bobcats, all but one coming in the second half.

Carly Gillette scored at 15:15 unassisted then Madison Allen buried one of her two goals at 49:57 (assist to Carolyn DeSena and Morgan Mrizek). Allen's second goal came just five minutes later with an assist by Rayiah Davis.

In the 74th minute Catherine Smith added a goal (assist to Mei Homman) and three minutes later Elena Fernandez recorded her first goal of the season with an assist to Madison Hobson.

Frostburg's Hannah Clagett ended the scoring rout in the 86th minute.

Statistics revealed the lopsided game: Frostburg shot 19 times, 12 on-goal, while Wesleyan managed only three with just a single on-goal attempt. Corners also favored Frostburg 6-1.

Wesleyan heads to Concord University for a showdown with the Mountain Lions to whom they lost 4-1 in the first matchup of the season on Sept. 15. The match is set for Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m.
