Frostburg, Md.- The Bobcat volleyball team was looking to snap their 4 game losing streak with a win on the road against the Bobcats of Frostburg State. Wesleyan would lose 3-1, winning a close set 1, 25-23, but losing the next 3. Wesleyan took the majority of team statistics in the match, but the hitting percentage was the difference with 19% for Wesleyan and 26.7% for Frostburg.
Notable performers for Wesleyan included
Bhrooke Axe, who led the team in kills with 13 as well as 2 blocks defensively.
Olivia Albrecht and
Emily Denison would follow with 10 kills each. Denison would lead the team in blocks with 4. Setter,
Helena Kelley would record 32 assists followed by
Jalynn West with 16. Libero,
Alexis Moeschler, led the team in digs with 29 and recorded 1 serving ace.
The Volleyball team will play at Fairmont State University Saturday, October 26th.
