West Liberty’s Deep Ball Too Much for Wesleyan in 101-66 Bobcat Defeat

The West Liberty Hilltoppers shot 18-of-42 from beyond the three-point stripe in an unending deep assault that resulted in a second blowout of the season over the Bobcats 101-66, Wednesday.

The conference's offense-leading Hilltoppers that beat Wesleyan 125-69 in November, matched its season average against the Bobcats Saturday (101.5 points) and outpaced its league-leading three-point made field goals of 12.9.

Though Wesleyan made a strong comeback in the second half to throttle a Hilltopper explosive first 20 minutes that double-upped the Bobcats 54-27, the damage had been done.

Six players scored in double digits for West Liberty: Christian Montague (21), Zach Rasile (17), Chaz Hinds (16), Kyler Daugustino (12), John Korte (11) and Lanyc Shuler (11).

For the second straight game, Curtis Litton led the scoring efforts for the Bobcats with 13 points and five rebounds. Anthony Craven Jr. added 12 points and six rebounds. Deiker Padrino and Joshua Johnson each scored nine points.
