Glenville, W.Va.-
Kendall Stoffel took the mound for the Bobcats. An impressive stat line of 7.0 innings pitched, 3 hits, no earned runs, and four strikeouts wasn't enough to secure a victory as costly defensive errors plagued the Bobcat's defense. In the top of the 2nd, Stoffel gave up a walk and that runner would come across to score in the inning on an error. This put IUP up early 1-0. In the top of the 4th,
Kendall Stoffel doubled to lead off the inning.
Brooklyn Osburn would RBI single brining Stoffel to score tying it up at 1-1. An error on a dropped third strike and an RBI double in the top of the 6th, put IUP in the lead 3-1. The Bobcats would score on a passed ball in the bottom of the 6th to cut the lead 3-2, but strong defense and pitching for IUP lead to a quick bottom of the 7th ending the game.
The Bobcats are set to travel to Florida, starting March 2nd, at the Diamondplex for a spring break tournament. First, they will face, Bemidiji State University March 2nd at 4:00 pm.
