Winter Haven, Fla.- The Softball team got back in the win column after a loss to Concordia University of St. Paul. They would beat Wayne State in a 7 inning game. Wayne State would get on the board first in the 2nd inning with an RBI single to right field. Wesleyan would answer in the 2nd inning with an RBI from
Megan McMackin who had a SAC ground out to the pitcher. In the 4th,
Mollie White would RBI single to right center scoring
Kendall Stoffel.
Emma Jackson would later RBI single to to bring
Megan McMackin to score to make it 3-1 after the 4th inning.
Kendall Stoffel would earn the win, taking her to 3-2 on the season. She pitched 7 innings, allowing 5 hits, 1 earned run and getting 8 strikeouts. She would also go 2-3 at the plate coming around to score twice on the bases.
The Bobcats are set to play Bloomfield College later the same day Friday, March 8th.
