Salem, W.Va.- The Lady Bobcats would play Salem University on road before conference play opens up in October. After beating Salem 3-0, in the past two matches, this one would be no different. The Bobcats would win set 1, 25-16 and win the next two sets by the same score of 25-19. Wesleyan's biggest differentials would happen at the serving line and up at the net. The Bobcats' 8 serving aces to the Tiger's 4 and 6 blocks for the Bobcats compared to the Tiger's 2.
Offensively,
Alauna Wilson would lead the way with 10 kills followed by
Jayla Cowherd,
Bhrooke Axe, and
Emily Denison all with 9 kills each. On the back line, Libero,
Alexis Moeschler would record 16 digs as well as 4 assists. Setter
Jalynn West recorded 30 assists and contributed defensively with 3 blocks.
The Bobcats will open up Mountain East Conference play at home Tuesday, October 1st against the Golden Eagles of Charleston University at 7:00pm.
