BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The Bobcats returned to the Rockefeller Center on Wednesday night but was unable to slow down a hot-shooting Point Park squad, falling 90–66 in Mountain East Conference action. The Bobcats hung tough through the opening stretch, but a barrage of Pioneer three-pointers and a decisive second-half surge proved too much to overcome.
 
Wesleyan battled through a back-and-forth opening segment, taking the lead twice in the first seven minutes behind strong early touches from Isaiah Baker and Nick Davis. Baker knocked down an early three and added multiple finishes at the rim, while Davis created second-chance opportunities that helped the Bobcats stay within reach.
 
Point Park, however, began to find momentum from the perimeter. The Pioneers hit five first-half threes—three of them coming from Jaylen Stewart and Grant Welch—to build a working margin. Despite the Pioneers' bursts, Wesleyan stayed within striking distance thanks to Baker's 11 first-half points and Adrijus Janciauskas' energy on the glass.
 
A late run by the visitors, capped by back-to-back inside finishes and a tough jumper in the final seconds, sent Point Park into the break leading 37–30.
 
The second half tilted sharply toward the Pioneers, who shot 53% from the field after halftime and drained 10 more three-pointers, finishing 15-of-34 from beyond the arc on the night.
 
Wesleyan continued to generate paint touches as Baker and Stephen Ovia powered through traffic for buckets. Ovia delivered one of his strongest efforts of the season with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, working relentlessly on the offensive glass.
 
Still, every time the Bobcats threatened to close the gap, Point Park answered with perimeter firepower or a transition conversion. The Pioneers cashed in on Wesleyan turnovers (19 points off giveaways) and widened the margin to double figures midway through the period. A trio of late threes from Welch, including back-to-back strikes near the six-minute mark, ultimately sealed the outcome.
