BUCKHANNON, W.Va. —West Virginia Wesleyan's men's basketball team showcased a balanced offensive performance but ultimately dropped a 109–95 decision to Frostburg State on Wednesday night inside Rockefeller Center.
 
Sophomore forward Jaden Westfall delivered a standout night off the bench, providing a major spark with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and several key second-half scoring stretches that kept Wesleyan within striking distance. Westfall was efficient around the rim, going 8-of-13 and finishing multiple plays through contact.
 
Junior guard Isaiah Baker was equally impactful with 19 points, 3 steals, and timely plays on both ends. Baker scored from all three levels, including a first-half three-pointer and a string of slashing layups early in the second half.
 
Forward Stephen Ovia added a physical presence with a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double, dominating the offensive glass and creating second-chance opportunities (Wesleyan posted 24 second-chance points, outscoring Frostburg in that category).
 
Milos Cirovic delivered 9 points, 4 rebounds, and disruptive defensive play including 2 steals. Wesleyan also received strong contributions from Nick Davis (7 points, 6 rebounds) and Lamont Jones, who posted 8 points on efficient attacking drives.
 
Wesleyan's bench outscored Frostburg's 36–21.
 
The first half was played at a fast, free-flowing pace, with both offenses scoring at will. Frostburg hit seven threes in the opening frame, while Wesleyan continued to generate high-percentage looks in the paint. Despite trailing 53–43 at halftime, the Bobcats posted 18 made field goals.
 
Wesleyan cut the lead to single digits multiple times early in the second half behind baskets from Baker, Ovia, and Westfall. However, each surge was met with answers from Frostburg, which shot 59.3% in the second half and capitalized on turnovers to score 21 points off Wesleyan miscues.

The Bobcats continued to battle, finishing the night with 62 points in the paint and 23 fast-break points, but Frostburg's perimeter shooting and free-throw volume made the difference down the stretch.
 
Frostburg was led by a trio of scorers:

• Mitch Finefrock — 28 points, including seven three-pointers
• Mike Montano — 26 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists
• Trey Simmons — 22 points, providing consistent inside scoring

 
The visitors hit 11 threes, leveraged 15 Wesleyan turnovers, and controlled key stretches with quick scoring bursts in transition.
 
Wesleyan heads to Fairmont State University Saturday, Dec. 6 for a Mountain East Conference matchup against the Falcons. Tip is 4 p.m.
