Buckhannon, WV – The Dance Challenge is bringing its dance competition to Buckhannon, WV at West Virginia Wesleyan College on March 8, 2025. West Virginia Wesleyan will host dance routines from area schools and dance studios.
 
The Dance Challenge is a competition for school and studio dance teams, with tour stops across the state of Iowa, Illinois and West Virginia. Founded in 2021, the mission of The Dance Challenge is to provide schools with the opportunity to host a large-scale, professionally run competition as a fundraiser for their school dance team.  Panels of professional dance adjudicators are flown in from all over the US.
 
To date, The Dance Challenge has raised over $55,000 for the hosting schools. This year The Dance Challenge will host 11 Dance Challenge competitions with a stop in Buckhannon!
 
Competition Director, Jenny Thielman, is a former dance coach and studio owner with over 25 years of experience in the dance industry. She has now dedicated her time to the growth and philanthropic efforts of The Dance Challenge.
