Softball Loses Game 2 Against Glenville State

Glenville State shut out West Virginia Wesleyan 4-0 powered by timely hitting and a stellar pitching outing from Ky. Burdick.

The Pioneers took control early, scoring three runs in the second inning. After David Warnick crossed the plate on a single by Kyle Goodman, Eric McLean delivered a two-run homer, bringing Goodman home and extending the lead to 3-0.

In the fifth, Miguel Rodelo added another run with an RBI single, scoring Goodman on an unearned run to make it 4-0.

Burdick was the star on the mound, throwing a complete game shutout. She allowed just two hits while striking out three and walking none in seven innings of work, earning the win.
