Buckhannon, W. Va. West Virginia Wesleyan College Football takes down Post University 31-13. The offense put up 421 yards in total, with 303 in the air and 118 on the ground. With the defense securing four interceptions, one fumble recovery, and three sacks on the day.
Quarterback Mike Evans Jr. and wide receiver Amari Colon-Brown met up for three touchdown receptions. Late in the second quarter, they met for a 52 yard touchdown that gave the Bobcats the lead going into half. They would meet up again early in the third with a 32 yard strike that extended the lead to a two score ball game. They would then find each other late in the fourth with the last score of the game to finish it for the Bobcats. Final score ending WVWC Bobcats 31 and the Post Eagles 13. Evans would end the game 14-22 for 303 yards and four touchdowns. Colon-Brown would finish the game with four receptions for 149 yards and three touchdowns.
The pass game was not the only part of the offense that was clicking. Two rushers for the Bobcats had over sixty yards rushing. Jeremiah King had 62 yards off of 17 carries while Reimello Hyde had 79 for the game off of 21 carries.
The Bobcat defense made sure to give the offense plenty of opportunities with 4 interceptions and 1 fumble recovery. Kameron Reynolds had 2 interceptions with returns totaling 30 yards while Jaziah Berberena recorded the other two picks on the day.
