A native of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Wesleyan graduate (Bachelor of Science, 1984; Master of Education, 1986), Paul Price's experience is long and varied. From 1979-2008 he either played or coached the Bobcats. He was a two-time West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) performer and after graduation in 1982, joined head coach Bill Struble's staff. As the Bobcats’ defensive coordinator, he coached three championship teams (1995, 2002, 2003) and had the privilege of coaching dozens of All-WVIAC athletes as well as several All-Americans.
 
After leaving Wesleyan in 2008, Price joined a new staff at Concord University where he rose to the rank of Defensive Coordinator and enjoyed two conference championships (2011 and 2014) that included a national semi-final showing in 2014. After the 2018 season, Price joined the West Virginia State University program as the special teams and recruiting coordinator. During his time at State, the program experienced four winning seasons. In 2023, Price moved on to the high school ranks at Berkeley Springs, W.Va. where he helped that program to an improved 3-7 record in 2024.
 
Price has one daughter Erin who graduated from Wesleyan (2008) and was an academic All-American in cross country. She is currently employed as a pharmacist in the eastern panhandle of the state.
 
Coach Price is a member of the Wesleyan Athletic Hall of Fame (2002 and 2003 Football Teams) and has been published in the AFCA summer manual.
