West Virginia Wesleyan College Athletics

Vernard Williams is entering his second year on staff with West Virginia Wesleyan College he will be coaching the Wide Receivers this fall.

Prior to arriving at Wesleyan, Williams spent two seasons, 2016-2017, in the Gulf South Conference at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia. He served as an Offensive Graduate Assistant as well as Special Teams’ Coordinator while working with the running backs and wide receivers.
 
In 2014 and 2015 Williams served on the staff at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. While there, he spent time coaching the running backs, wide receivers and assisted with special teams. Also, in 2015 Williams guided Wide Receiver Darrias Sime to All-Conference honors. 
 
Vernard Williams is a native of Lexington, North Carolina. He is a 2014 graduate of Averett University where he played wide receiver. In 2018, Williams received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sport Management from Shorter University.
