Brandon Brackett enters his second season as assistant coach of the West Virginia Wesleyan Lacrosse team in 2020-21.
BrackettĀ brings a coaching and military background to the Lady Bobcats Lacrosse program. Brackett began his collegiate lacrosse career when he played for Mohawk Valley Community College (NY) in 2005 and 2006. After his time at Mohawk Valley Community College, Brackett enlisted in the United States Army. Coach BrackettĀ was a member of the Army for seven years andĀ wasĀ honorably discharged from the Army in 2013.
During his service in the military, BrackettĀ stayed involved in the game of lacrosse. In 2011, he began coaching lacrosse at Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, Colo. Brackett coached at Valor Christian from 2011-2015. Coach Brackett then became the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Oklahoma Baptist University in 2015.
During the spring of 2016, at the age of 33, BrackettĀ resumed his athleticĀ career and played midfield for Saint Gregoryās University in Shawnee, Okla. After playing one season at Saint Gregory's, BrackettĀ was immersed in a cross-cultural experience by living and working with an Old Order Amish Community. In 2018, he returned to coaching and served as the head womenās coach at Midland University in 2018. He comes to Wesleyan from Concordia University Wisconsin after beginning his Doctorate of Education in July of 2019.
