Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Falls to No.13 NDC

Buckhannon, WV- Men's Soccer was in action on Sunday afternoon against #13 Notre Dame College. 

The Bobcats were able to get on the board early when Hazuki Hashizume played a ball over the top of the defense to the head of Matthew Bentley who would place it over the Notre Dame keeper. Wesleyan with the early 1-0 lead in the 12th minute. 

The visiting Falcons would answer in the 23rd minute when Guilherme Albuquerque would dribble past a few Bobcat midfielders and bury a shot from 25-yards out. The game would be tied 1-1 midway through the first half.

The Falcons would gain the lead not long after when Paolo Termine played a ball through to Nicholas Felician who had a one on one with the keeper. Felician placed it past the keeper and the racing Bobcat defense to make it 2-1.

Felician scored again in the the 38th minute when Arthur Favero chipped a ball over the defense and Felician did the rest placing it past the keeper. Notre Dame up 3-1.

Midway through the second half, the score remained 3-1. The physicality to the game would increase with yellows being issued on both sides. 

In the 77th minute, Notre Dame put together an offensive attack that led to Varis Khera placing a pass to Athur Favero who placed a shot to the right corner past the Wesleyan keeper from 10-yards out. Notre Dame up 4-1

The score would hold and the Falcons would go on to win their 11th game of the season.
