Lady Cats Earn Tie Against NDC

Buckhannon, WV- The Lady Cats were back in action on Sunday afternoon against the MEC North Division leaders Notre Dame College. 

With the two best teams in the MEC squaring off, the game was tightly contested early. No team gaining advantage with possession with being back and forth. 

The first half contained four shots by both teams, none of which were a big threat for a goal. The game went into the half tied 0-0.

The second half became physical and was still tightly matched. The first chance for the Lady Cats came in the 68th minute when Marissa Zetty played a pass to Casey Underwood who had a one on one with the keeper. The Falcons keeper made an excellent save to keep the game tied 0-0. 

In the 80th minute, the Lady Cats would have another opportunity at goal. Natalie Prater would play a through ball to the corner of the box to MaKatlyn Tucker. Tucker would fire a shot that hit the right post and out for a goal kick. 

Regular time would end with the score 0-0, and the game would head to the first overtime. Both teams were able to register three shots in the overtime, but neither team was able to get on the scoreboard. The game would go into a second overtime.

Despite the visiting Falcons and the Lady Cats had 15 and 18 shots respectively, the game would end in a 0-0 tie.
