Bentley's Four Goals Lead Bobcats Past Urbana

Buckhannon, WV- Men's Soccer was back in action on Sunday afternoon against Urbana University. The Blue Knights came into the contest with a 6-3-2 record in MEC play. The Bobcats used a huge peformance from Matthew Bentley to beat Urbana 4-1. 

The Blue Knights got on the board in the 10th minute when a throw in played in the box was scooped up by Jasminko Dizarevic who was able to finish bottom left past the Wesleyan keeper. 

Wesleyan was able to tie things up in the 19th minute when the Bobcats built up an impressive attack. The attack led to Liam Igoe getting the ball at 30-yards out and playing a through ball to the foot of Matthew Bentley who did the rest placing it past the charging keeper. This was Bentley's 5th goal of the season.

Bentley would strike again and give the Bobcats the lead in the 38th minute. Andrew Polychroniadis assisted a perfect ball through to the foot of Bentley who once again beat a charging keeper for the goal. 

The Bobcats would take the lead into half. The first half included four yellow cards, two for each team. 

The first 25 minutes of the second half would remain physical with a lot of back and forth action. 

Matt Bentley would increase Wesleyan's lead in the 73rd minute when he placed a shot past the charging Urbana keeper. The assist was credited to Luca Faconieri who played the ball in the box from the right sideline. 

Bentley continued his scoring ways notching his fourth goal of the day in the 86th minute. Kazuma Takagi received the ball on the right wing and carried it until the last moment when he played a ball to Bentley who had a one on one with the keeper. Bentley played it through the keepers legs to increase the Bobcats lead 4-1. 

The Bobcats would hold the lead in the final minutes to notch their second conference win in a row.
